What this site collects directly
The server keeps standard access logs: IP address, timestamp, requested path, referrer and user agent. These are used to see which build sheets are read and to block abuse, and are rotated out on the usual schedule. There are no accounts, no comment forms, no newsletter and no contact database on this site. The only data you send deliberately is the contents of an email to [email protected], which is kept only as long as it takes to answer it.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies of its own. If a measurement tag is enabled it is used only in aggregate to count page views; it is not used to build a profile and is not joined to any other data about you.
Advertising and Google
This site is supported by advertising served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
The DoubleClick cookie and how to opt out
Google uses the DoubleClick cookie (and equivalent identifiers) to serve ads across the web. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings at https://adssettings.google.com, and you can opt out of third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at https://www.aboutads.info/choices or https://optout.networkadvertising.org. Opting out does not remove advertising; it makes the advertising you see less relevant to you.
Your choices under GDPR
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the legal basis for the cookies used for advertising is your consent, collected through the consent message shown on your first visit. You may withdraw that consent at any time from the same link, which is kept available in the footer of every page. You also have the right to ask what personal data is held about you, to have it corrected, to have it erased, and to object to processing; requests go to [email protected] and are answered within thirty days.
Your choices under CCPA/CPRA
If you are a California resident you have the right to know what categories of personal information are collected, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. This site does not sell personal information. To exercise any of these rights, write to [email protected] with the request and the site name.
Children
This site is written for adults who build and fly multirotors. It is not directed at children, and no content here is intended for anyone under the age of sixteen.
Third-party links and data outside your country
Advertising and font delivery involve servers outside your country, including in the United States. This site does not control those transfers; Google’s own privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites describes how Google handles data collected for advertising. Links from this site to other sites are not covered by this policy.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date below changes with it and the previous wording is replaced rather than appended. Questions about any of the above go to [email protected].
